New photography show runs through Friday, March 28

“Fetish of the Mind,” a series of surreal single set montage composite photographs by SFCC photography instructor Erik Sohner, is running through March 28 in the SFCC Photography Building gallery.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday and Wednesday; 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday. Admission is free.

Although Sohner’s background is primarily in commercial photography, he has begun to transition into fine art photography. In the photographs on display, he uses a light painting technique to unite “the familiar, the strange, the real and the imagined within the frame of a photograph.”
